How to choose a compressor refrigerator?

by Editor 18 Jan 2023 0 Comments

With the development of science and technology and the continuous upgrading of consumption, household refrigerators have widely entered people's daily life, and people's demands for refrigerators are becoming more and more diverse. Next I will tell you the key points that you need to pay attention to when buying a refrigerator, and bring simple and efficient purchasing strategies to help you choose your favorite refrigerator!

  1. Capacity

The capacity of the refrigerator should be properly selected according to the number of families. In general, each person needs a capacity of 70-80 liters. For example, buying a refrigerator with an effective capacity of 210-240 liters for a family of three meets daily needs.

  1. Size

You must first understand the size of the refrigerator, make a reasonable choice, reserve the location of the refrigerator in advance or choose a suitable refrigerator according to the reserved space.

Generally, for refrigerators that dissipate heat on both sides and the back, the distance reserved on one side is about 5-10cm. For refrigerators where the heat dissipation is at the bottom, although there is no requirement for the distance reserved on both sides, it is best to leave a distance of 3-5cm on one side, so as not to affect the heat dissipation and service life of the refrigerator.

  1. Energy efficiency level

Because refrigerators are different from household appliances such as washing machines and air conditioners, they need to work 24 hours a day, so the energy efficiency level needs more attention when buying a refrigerator.

Buying guide: I recommend refrigerators with E-star or DOE certification. Of course, other factors such as price should also be considered comprehensively to choose a refrigerator with high-cost performance. But it is worth your investment. A reliable refrigerator can serve your family as long as 10 years; even a power-efficient appliance may costs you more upfront, but it will cut down your electricity bills in the long run.

  1. Refrigeration method

4.1 Direct cooling refrigerator

The principle of the direct cooling refrigerator: mainly relies on the cold air in the evaporator to directly reduce the temperature of the inner wall of the refrigerator, and then exchange heat with the air in the refrigerator to reduce the temperature in the box. Simply put, cooling is achieved through the natural convection of hot and cold air.

—Advantages: simple structure, fewer faults, and power saving, because relying on the natural convection of the air, the humidity in the air is high, so the moisture loss of the food in the refrigerator is relatively slow.

—Disadvantages: uneven cooling and low efficiency, easy to frost.

4.2 Air-cooled refrigerator

The principle of the air-cooled refrigerator: After the evaporator is cooled, cold air is blown into the refrigerator for forced circulation to achieve the purpose of cooling.

—Advantages: fast and uniform cooling, automatic defrosting. Such as the SMAD air-cooled French refrigerator not only saves the trouble of manual defrosting but also delays the loss of moisture in food.

—Disadvantages: Poor fresh-keeping effect (without other function settings), high power consumption.

4.3 Mixed cooling refrigerator

The principle of the mixed cooling refrigerator: Combine direct cooling and air cooling refrigerators, direct cooling is used in the refrigerator, and air cooling is used in the freezer.

—Advantages: It has the advantages of both direct cooling and air cooling refrigerators.

—Disadvantages: complex structure and high price.

Buying Guide: Mixed Cooling>Air Cooling>Direct Cooling

  1. Circulation system

5.1 Single-cycle system

There is only one evaporator, which is shared by the refrigeration chamber and the freezing chamber. The compressor starts to work when there is a temperature difference change in the refrigeration chamber, so the freezing chamber is forced to cool. After the cold air in the refrigerator passes through the freezing chamber to the refrigeration chamber, the smell of the freezing chamber also enters the refrigeration chamber.

5.2 Double circulation system

Double circulation system: two evaporators, one in the refrigeration chamber and one in the freezing chamber, working independently of each other. Such as the SMAD French refrigerator can effectively prevent cross-flavoring of the refrigerator and freezer, and can also make the temperature control of the refrigerator and freezer more precise.

Buying Guide: Double circulation system>Single cycle system

As a necessity of daily life, refrigerators play a vital role in every family. I hope my article can help you understand what factors need to be considered when purchasing refrigerators and then select the right one.
