I bought this frig. for LPG use only to find there is no usefull information in the owners manual. I then contacted Smad customer support and was emailed the info to help me get the frig. going. This is a good deal overall....

Suffered some damage in shipping but tried it in all 3 modes. 120 volts, propane gas and finally with 12 volt deep discharge battery all successfully. In propane mode it made a container half full of water into a solid block of ice overnight and only half way on temp control. I used a turkey fryer regulator which had a valve on it. No good. You must use a std regulator. The customer service people answered overnight and were entirely professional. It's pretty nice inside and out and should last a long time with care.

I was pleasantly surprised and impressed with how well this refrigerator works. I used it while camping for a week in hot weather. It used a very small amount of propane to keep all my food cold for the whole week. The gauge on the tank did not move enough to notice. Very impressed. I built a box around the refrigerator to keep the wind from blowing out the gas and put a small vent stack to channel the exhaust away. The box also kept the sun from heating the refrigerator. Highly recommended. Propane cools faster than 110Volt but did not try 12 Volt system.
