Q: “Where do I find more information about product features?”

A: You can explore the 【Description】and 【Specifications】 sections on the product page to view detailed information about the features and specifications. Additionally, you can download the corresponding product manual from the 【User Manual】section under 【Customer Care】for further details.
If you have any additional questions, feel free to contact us via inbox or email.

Q: "How do I choose the right refrigerator for my needs?"

A: Consider where you will use the refrigerator, the available power sources, the installation space, and the storage capacity you need.

For RVs or small spaces, a compact 3-way model may be more suitable. For cabins, farms, or off-grid homes, a larger propane and AC model may provide more storage. Please also check the product dimensions, ventilation requirements, and available power sources before purchasing.

If you are unsure, contact us with your intended use, available space, and preferred capacity, and we will help you select a suitable model.

Q: “What is the difference between a 2-way and a 3-way refrigerator?”

A: A 2-way propane refrigerator typically operates on propane gas or 110V AC electricity, while a 3-way model can operate on propane, 110V AC, or 12V DC power. Only one power source should be used at a time.

A 3-way refrigerator offers greater flexibility for RVs and mobile use, while a 2-way model is often suitable for cabins, farms, and off-grid homes. Power options may vary by model, so please check the product specifications before purchasing.

Q: “Can the refrigerator operate on propane only?”

A: Yes. Models equipped with a propane mode can operate independently on propane without an AC or DC power connection. Depending on the model, batteries may be required for the ignition system or interior light.

When using propane mode, disconnect the other power sources and ensure that the refrigerator is properly installed, level, and adequately ventilated. Always follow the instructions in the product manual.

Q: “How do I confirm whether the refrigerator will fit my space?”

A: Check the product dimensions listed on the product page and measure the height, width, and depth of your available space. Remember to allow additional room for ventilation, door opening, gas and electrical connections, and access to the controls.

You should also measure doorways, hallways, stairs, and other delivery access points to make sure the refrigerator can be moved into place. Do not install a gas refrigerator in a fully enclosed cabinet unless the installation meets the ventilation requirements in the product manual.

Q: “Where can I download the product manual?”

A: You can download available product manuals from the User Manual page under Customer Care on our website. You can also check the product page for model-specific instructions.

If you cannot find the correct manual, please contact us with your product model number and order number, and our customer service team will assist you.

2. Product Use, Installation & Safety

Q: “Does the refrigerator need to be level?”

A: Yes. Absorption refrigerators rely on the natural circulation of refrigerant and must remain properly leveled, especially during operation. An uneven installation may reduce cooling performance or prevent the refrigerator from cooling correctly.

Q: “How much ventilation space is required?”

A: Adequate ventilation must be provided around the refrigerator, particularly at the back and top, so heat can escape. Clearance requirements vary by model, so please follow the installation dimensions and ventilation instructions in the product manual.

Q: “Can a propane refrigerator operate at high altitude?”

A: Cooling and ignition performance may decrease at high elevations because of reduced oxygen levels. If the refrigerator will be used at a high altitude, please contact us with the model number and elevation before purchasing so we can confirm whether the model is suitable.

Q: “Is a gas flue vent kit necessary for the gas refrigerator?”

A: It depends on the installation. For permanent use in an RV, cabin, or other enclosed space, external venting is strongly recommended to direct heat and combustion gases outdoors. Local codes or the product manual may also require a flue vent kit.

In a spacious, well-ventilated area, a flue kit may not always be necessary, but proper clearance and ventilation must be maintained. Always install a carbon monoxide detector when operating the refrigerator on propane indoors.

Please check your model’s manual and consult a qualified gas technician before installation.

Q: “How long does the refrigerator take to cool after startup?”

A: An absorption refrigerator normally cools more slowly than a compressor refrigerator. Initial cooling may take approximately 8–12 hours. For best results, start the refrigerator empty, keep the door closed, and allow it to reach the desired temperature before adding food.

Q: “Why is the refrigerator silent?”

A: Absorption refrigerators do not use a traditional compressor, so they operate almost silently. You may occasionally hear slight fluid-flow sounds or minor noises caused by the expansion and contraction of materials.

3. Orders & Payment

Q: “What payment methods do you accept?”

A: We accept American Express, Discover, Maestro, Mastercard, Visa, and PayPal. Available payment methods will be displayed at checkout.

Q: “What should I do if my payment fails?"

A: Please verify your billing address, card information, available balance, and bank authorization. You can also try another payment method or contact your bank. If the problem continues, contact us with a screenshot of the error message, but do not send your complete card details.

Q: “Why have I not received an order confirmation email?”

A: Please check your spam or junk folder and confirm that the email address entered during checkout was correct. If you still cannot find the confirmation, contact us with your name, email address, and approximate order time.

Q: “Can I change my shipping address after placing an order?”

A: Contact us as soon as possible. We may be able to update the address before shipment, but once the order has been processed or collected by the carrier, an address change may not be possible and additional carrier fees may apply.

Q: “Can I modify or cancel my order?"

A: Please contact us immediately if you need to modify or cancel an order. We will try to assist, but cancellation cannot be guaranteed once the order has entered processing or has been shipped. Interception or return shipping charges may apply.

Q: “Where do I enter a discount code?”

A: Enter the discount code in the designated field during checkout and select “Apply.” Only one discount code may be used per order unless otherwise stated. Discount codes generally cannot be applied after an order has been placed.

Frequently asked questions

1. Can propane refrigerator be installed in a cabinet?

Please note that gas refrigerators have specific installation space requirements, particularly for proper ventilation. For safety and optimal performance, we do not recommend installing the gas fridge in a fully enclosed cabinet. If your installation space is limited, we advise leaving a gap of 8-15 cm at the top and back of the refrigerator to allow for sufficient airflow. Additionally, we recommend installing a ventilation hole to further improve air circulation. This will not only enhance the efficiency of the refrigerator but also help reduce energy consumption.

2. Where can I use a gas refrigerator? Is it suitable for RVs?

Our propane refrigerators are the ultimate solution for "Off-Grid Freedom," designed to provide reliable cooling wherever electricity is unavailable or unreliable. They are versatile and ideal for:

  • Remote Cabins & Cottages: Perfect for vacation homes or hunting camps without grid power.
  • Off-Grid Homes & Homesteads: For those seeking 100% energy independence.
  • RVs & Travel Trailers
    Important Considerations for RV Use:
  1. Stationary Performance: When parked at a campsite, ensure your RV is leveled to maintain optimal cooling cycles.
  2. Ventilation: Ensure there is adequate clearance or a dedicated vent (roof or side-wall) to allow heat to escape from the back of the unit.
3. Can the gas refrigerator operate exclusively on gas? Does it require an electrical connection for ignition?

Our gas refrigerators are designed to operate on both gas and electricity, but only one power source can be used at a time. When the refrigerator is running on gas mode, it is essential to completely disconnect the electrical power. From ignition to operation, the refrigerator relies entirely on gas. The ignition system and internal lights are powered by batteries. Therefore, the gas refrigerator can function completely independently using gas.

4. Do I need to vent gas fridge to the outside?

For permanent indoor installations in small cabins or RVs,external venting is highly recommended to exhaust combustion byproducts. Always ensure there is adequate clearance around the back for air circulation and install a Carbon Monoxide (CO) detector in the room.

5. Can I run gas refrigerator on Natural Gas?

Most of our units are set up for Liquid Propane (LP) out of the box. If you wish to use Natural Gas, you will need a specific NG conversion kit and a certified technician to perform the adjustment. Please contact our support team for more details.

6. How long will a standard 20lb propane tank last?

For our 1.4 cu. ft. model, the average gas consumption is approximately 0.75 lbs per 24 hours.
A standard 20lb propane tank can power the refrigerator for approximately 25 to26 days of continuous operation.

Note: Actual fuel consumption may vary slightly depending on the ambient temperature, how often the door is opened, and the internal thermostat setting.

7. What should I do if my absorption fridge doesn't feel cold after the first startup?

If your refrigerator isn't cooling during its initial run, please follow these three essential steps before contacting support:

  1. Check the Level (Critical): Absorption systems rely on gravity to circulate the cooling liquid. If the unit is even slightly tilted, the circulation will stop. Use a bubble level to ensure the fridge is level from front-to-back and side-to-side.
  2. Give it More Time: Absorption fridge typically requires 8 to 12 hours to reach its optimal operating temperature. We recommend letting it run overnight before checking the temperature.
  3. The "Upside Down" Trick : If the unit was tilted or laid on its side during shipping, an air lock might have formed in the cooling tubes. Turn the unit completely upside down for 4–6 hours, then set it upright and wait another 4 hours before restarting.
8. Is absorption/gas refrigerator noisy when it's running?

Not at all! Since there are no moving parts or compressors, the refrigerator is virtually silent. This makes it an excellent choice for quiet, remote environments.

9. Is SMAD refrigerator CSA or UL certified?

Our refrigerators are ETL Listed. In North America, the ETL Mark is an OSHA-recognized equivalent to UL and CSA. It proves that our product has been independently tested and meets the exact same rigorous safety standards required for gas-fired appliances.
